Video Viewings: Common Challenges and How to Overcome Them
At Samtrygg, we utilize Google Meet to provide landlords and tenants with the convenient option of conducting video viewings. While Google Meet is a reliable service, there can be occasional technical issues that can affect video viewings negatively. You can find what problems that may occur and how to fix them here.
How to find the video viewing:
Under the "Viewings" subheading, you will locate the meeting link conveniently attached to the booked property. Simply click the "Join video viewing" button to initiate the video session.
Alternatively, you can click on the camera icon in the chat for the property on which you are scheduled to have a video viewing.
Finally, press "Yes, let's start the video viewing".
Technical issues that may occur:
1. Audio Issues:
- Check if the microphone is muted. Click on the microphone icon at the bottom left of the screen to enable it if it is muted.
- Ensure the correct microphone is selected. Click on the arrow next to the microphone icon and choose the correct device if multiple options are available.
- Make sure that you have allowed your browser to access the microphone.
- Test the audio by using the "Test audio" button before the meeting to ensure the microphone is functioning properly.
- If the issue persists, try connecting using a different web browser or restarting your computer.
2. Camera Issues:
- Check if the camera is turned off. Click on the camera icon at the bottom left of the screen to enable it if it is turned off.
- Ensure the correct camera is selected. Click on the arrow next to the camera icon and choose the correct device if multiple options are available.
- Make sure that you have allowed your browser to access the camera.
- If possible, test the camera by using it in another application to see if it works correctly.
- Close any other programs or browser extensions that may be using the camera simultaneously and causing conflicts.
3. Internet Connection Issues:
- Check your internet connection and ensure it is stable. Consider using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi if possible.
- Turn off other programs or devices that are using internet bandwidth to avoid overloading your connection.
- If possible, try connecting from a different location or using a different internet connection to see if the issue lies with your current network environment.

Please use the Google Chrome web browser for optimal performance.
It is important to be punctual for the video viewing to avoid any unnecessary delays or inconveniences.
In the event that the other person is not in the video call when you join, please wait for at least 5 minutes before ending the session. This allows sufficient time for both parties to connect and avoid missing each other.
If you are unable to attend the scheduled viewing time, we kindly request that you reschedule it to a more suitable time that accommodates your availability.
